Today, December 4, 2020, Megan thee Stallion’s “Good News” peaked at no. 2 on the US Billboard 200. Features from fellow celebrated artists City Girls, Young Thugs, DaBaby, 2 Chainz, Big Sean, Beyonce, Popcaan, SZA, Mustard and Lil Durk add incredible style and hype to Megan’s debut album.

Coldplay: “A Head Full of Dreams”

Today, December 4, 2015, Coldplay released “A Head Full of Dreams.” This angelic album peaked at no. 2 on the US Billboard 200, and no. 1 on iTunes. ‘Up&Up’ was released as one of the album’s singles, and it’s visual was nominated for Best Music Video at the Grammys. 

‘Up&Up’ was produced by Stargate and Rik Simpson, the latter of which also co-produced Coldplay’s debut single, ‘Gone Up in Flames.’ 

Another hit single from “A Head Full of Dreams” was the Beyonce collaboration, ‘Hymn for the Weekend.’ This song was produced by Avicii, Stargate, Rik Simpson and Digital Divide. On iTunes, ‘Hymn for the Weekend’ peaked at no. 17. 

According to December 2016 certification from the Recording Industry Association of America, “A Head Full of Dreams” is a platinum-seller; while singles ‘Adventure of a Lifetime,’ ‘Hymn for the Weekend’ have been certified double, and triple platinum.

Pop Smoke: ‘For the Night’

Today, December 4, 2020, ‘For the Night’ by Pop Smoke, Lil Baby & DaBaby peaked at no. 2 on the US Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart. Taken from his posthumous debut studio album, “Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon,” ‘For the Night’ also reached no. 15 on iTunes. 

Expectedly, ‘For the Night’ enjoyed international iTunes chart success, peaking at nos. 63, 78, 34, 44 and 29 in the United Kingdom, Australia, Brazil, Canada and France. Produced by CashMoneyAP, Jess Jackson, Mike Dean, Palaze and Wylo, the song samples Lil Wayne’s track of the same name – included on his “No Ceilings 3” mixtape. 

As for “Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon,” it reached no. 1 on both the Billboard 200, and Billboard’s Top Rap Albums chart. Over on the UK Official Charts, the album also reached no. 1, while ‘For the Night’ reached no. 14.
