HomageCollage: Dixie Chicks, “Wide Open Spaces”

🔊💜Today, January 27, 1998, Dixie Chicks released their fourth album, “Wide Open Spaces.” This album was released on the iconic Monument Records, a 2017 revival of Sony Music Entertainment. In 1999, “Wide Open Spaces” won a Grammy Award for Best Country Album. “Wide Open Spaces” released five singles, the last of which was their cover of Joy Lynn White’s ‘Tonight the Heartache’s on Me.’ And, come December 2003, “Wide Open Space” was certified 12x platinum, by the Recording Industry Association of America.
