HomageCollage: Lloyd, “Street Love”

🔊💜Today, March 13, 2007, Lloyd released his second studio album, “Street Love.” Lloyd tapped Lil Wayne for the first single ‘You,’ a song that in the month prior, reached no. 9 on the US Hot 100. The song was produced by Big Reese, and Jasper Cameron. It’s samples Destiny’s Child’s ‘Soldier,’ and sampled in Tory Lanez’s ‘Thoughts,’ a song that Lloyd is also featured on. His highest charting album on the Billboard 200, “You” peaked at no. 2 on March 30, 2007.
