🔊🥳Today, April 13, 1946, Al Green was born Albert Leornes Greene in Forrest City, Arkansas. In 2008, six years after winning the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Grammys, he won two additional awards for his ‘Stay With Me (By the Sea),’ and ‘You’ve Got the Love I Need’ songs. On the US Billboard Smooth Jazz Songs Chart, ‘Stay With Me (By the Sea)’ peaked at no. 16.
