🔊💜Today, April 20, 1998, Boards of Canada released their influential debut studio album “Music Has the Right to Children.” This album peaked at no. 2 on the US Billboard 200, and includes ‘The Color of the Fire,’ and ‘Sixtyten.’ The former song sampled Sesame Street’s ‘I Love You,’ and latter sampled Sesame Street’s ‘Many Me’s,’ Earth, Wind & Fire’s ‘Getaway’ & ‘On Your Face.’ This whimsical, intelligent, ambient electronic album remains a go-to for many.
