Today, November 18, 2008, Beyonce released her third studio album, “I Am… Sasha Fierce.” This dual album is complete with one message: Beyonce is beautifully and boldly human – just like us. She gives a subtle “I Am” side, with soft tracks like ‘Satellites’ and ‘Ave Maria.’ And, then the unabashed ego side, “Sasha Fierce,’ with more sexy and voluptuous tracks like ‘Video Phone’ and ‘Single Ladies.’

The balance between both albums is admirable, and indicative of Beyonce’s wholeness. At the time of “I Am… Sasha Fierce” album release, Beyonce had been married for seven months – so it’s no surprise she delivered a project so full of love for Self, flaunting her readiness for life and love.
“I Am… Sasha Fierce” peaked at no. 1 on the US Billboard 200, and spent 193 weeks on the chart – becoming Bey’s best performer on the chart, behind her eponymous fifth.
Today, “I Am… Sasha Fierce” is a double platinum-selling album here in the US, per the January 2019 certification from the Recording Industry Association of America.
